One of the most challenging dilemmas for the women of India is the ability to make a living. It is extremely difficult at best. One of the best ways for a woman to earn decent wages is to be a seamstress. To address this challenge we have created we opened a Tailoring Institute to train women in tailoring, a trade to make income for their family. We provide free sewing machines to the ladies upon completion of their training. These machines are non-electric as most of the homes here do not have electricity and cost about $200 dollars US.
